2009 Parent Satisfaction Surveys
During the spring of 2009, the administration invited parents to respond to satisfaction surveys for Concord elementary schools and middle school, and Concord-Carlisle High School. The goal of the surveys was to gather feedback on curriculum, instructional programs, communication, school leadership, school climate, student-adult relationships, parent involvement, bus safety, and overall satisfaction with Concord's K-12 schools. The response was overwhelming, with a 50% return rate at the elementary level, 48% return rate at middle school, and 45% return rate at the high school. Additionally, many parents submitted thoughtful, helpful, and personal comments.
The good news is that most parents (86%-93.5%) rate the K-8 schools as good to excellent, and 79.2% of parents feel that the high school is very good/excellent. Results of the surveys are available on the district website without the personal comments (please see the links below). Superintendent Diana Rigby, school committee member Pamela Gannon, and each school principal carefully reviewed the results and read the comments. The school principals identified the serious concerns for further study and any necessary actions. Any survey question that did not receive a satisfaction rate of 75% or higher will be discussed with school faculties and staff for study and improvement efforts.
We would like to thank all the parents who took the time to complete the surveys. If you have any additional questions, please contact your school principal.
